At the beginning of our motorcycle tour through France, we stayed one night with Jan and Gerlie — and it turned out to be one of the nicest stays of our holiday! What a cozy and beautifully decorated auberge this is! We enjoyed a delicious meal, prepared by the host and hostess themselves, and in the evening we had a lovely time chatting with Jan outside on the terrace — this is how it should be. After a wonderful night’s sleep and an abundant breakfast, we (unfortunately) had to say goodbye. But if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely return: highly recommended!! Thank you, Jan and Gerlie, for all your good care — keep up the great work!
After a change of ownership in September 2024 and the reopening in March 2025 following the renovation of the property, we discovered this hostel during a stay in the area. We had an excellent night there. The welcome by this Dutch couple is exceptional, which made us feel “at home” right away. The food is simple but very good, and the terrace is very pleasant for an evening meal.
Today we enjoyed a lovely lunch on the terrace of Auberge de la Chaloire. The new owners have transformed the auberge into an atmospheric and welcoming B&B where you can also enjoy lunch. It’s also well worth a stop for a drink or a delicious ice cream sundae! Jan and Gerlie create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with great attention to detail. And all of this comes with a beautiful view!
The tremendous hospitality and friendliness of the hostess and host, the cozy interior, the beautiful and clean room, and the delicious, extensive breakfast! The evening meal was also delightful. In short: it was a wonderful stay. We truly enjoyed it!
Friendly welcome. Beautiful and completely newly renovated B&B. Experienced owners. A very sunny terrace and a peaceful garden with sun loungers and various seating areas. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is wonderful and extensive. Definitely worth repeating.
A very pleasant stopover on the way to our holiday. Gerlie and Jan are very attentive hosts. The accommodation is very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is varied and extensive, and there is even the option to dine on site.

This special inn is located in the heart of nature and offers several pleasant surprises. The welcome and friendliness are perfect. Our hosts do everything they can to make your stay unforgettable — and they certainly succeeded. Beautiful décor and a lovely dining table.
